The Brain Tumour Charity
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40 yet only 3% of the £700m annual cancer research funding in the UK goes into brain tumours. 33 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour every single day in the UK but only 12% of those loved ones will survive for five years or more. For some of the most aggressive tumour types, the average survival time is just 12 months. This has to change. The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. With unapologetically ambitious goals of doubling survival rates and halving the harm that brain tumours have on quality of life, The Brain Tumour Charity is committed to saving and improving lives, set on finding new treatments, driving urgent change and offering the highest level of support to patients and their families. A cure can’t wait.
Donations to The Brain Tumour Charity have a huge impact:

£300 ensures that 300 families receive a HeadSmart card, making them aware of the symptoms of brain tumours in children and teenagers
£500 covers the cost of giving 20 children and families the immediate support and information they need after the devastation of a diagnosis
£1,000 pays for four days of pioneering research for one of our leading researchers, to better understand brain tumours and provide more targeted treatments
